Abstract

Nurul Quran orphanage is located in batam centre area, in its daily operational activities are carried out independently from the manager of the orphanage so that almost all activities carried out at the orphanage are sometimes less than maximum. This can be seen in the implementation of hygiene activities of the residents who are in the orphanage. Cleanliness in Nurul Quran orphanage is still far from the decent category because the environment in the orphanage is not clean because of the lack of awareness from the orphanage purists to maintain the cleanliness of the orphanage. Low knowledge factor can add to the poor spread of disease in orphanages as well as lack of knowledge about the benefits of implementing good and correct personal hygiene causes individuals in the orphanage Nurul Quran Batam Centre in conducting daily activities are still not healthy and clean and harm themselves and others who are around. Based on this, the solution offered is to socialize and implement efforts to improve personal hygiene in order to create a healthy body and free from all diseases and support the realization of healthy individuals in accordance with the instructions of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.
