Abstract
This research report explains how the discourse of female sexuality is depicted as the Dominant character in BDSM relations in the film “Love and Leashes” (started showing on Netflix since February 2022). Sara Mills' Critical Discourse Analysis with its four structures, namely character/role, fragmentation, focalization, and schemata is used as a research method. The results show that the film "Love and Leashes" discusses women who are active subjects and are equal to men, and actively express their sexuality, but paradoxically still burdens women with the role of maintaining their own sexuality as well as male sexuality. “Love and Leashes” constructs equal relations between women and men, but paradoxically wants to perpetuate inequality in society.
