Abstract

This study aims to determine the effects of group cohesiveness with organizational commitment of members of the student activities unit of Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya University. Respondents of this study were active students who participated in the student activity unit (UKM) at Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya University, which numbered 100 people. The sampling technique uses Probability Sampling in the form of proportionate stratified random sampling. This research method is quantitative research with regressions design. The results of this study indicate that there was very significant positive relationship between group cohesiveness with organizational commitment to members of the student activity unit with a correlation value (r) = 0.808 with p <0.01. It means that the higher the cohesiveness of the organization members, the higher the level of organizational commitment of members of the student activities unit of Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya University, and vice versa. Furthermore, viewed from the results of the regression, it shows that the significance value which is 0,000 (< 0,05) so that Ha is accepted. It means, there were effects of group cohesiveness with organizational commitment of members of the student activities unit of Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya University.
