Abstract
This research is motivated by image problems presented by Persija Jakarta. Before Persija Jakarta carried out a management restructuring in 2017, Persija had many complicated club problems such as financial problems that resulted in unpaid salaries for players, bad relationships with stakeholders that made it difficult for Persija to hold matches in Jakarta, and brands that refused. become a club business partner. Likewise, Persija's reputation has been tarnished due to the behavior of its supporters, namely The Jakmania, which is often not tertiary, which is detrimental to Persija Jakarta itself. In the League 1 competition which has been running for 4 seasons, Persija has restructured its management 3 times. In the League 1 competition season 2020, Persija Jakarta built an image as "The Dream Team" with the aim of being able to win the League 1 title again and take the floor on the stock market. This study aims to examine Persija Jakarta's public relations strategy in the past 3 years, using qualitative research methods and the constructivism paradigm. By using the PENCILS Public Relations Strategy Mix Theory from Thomas L. Harris and Social Capital Theory, the researcher found the image of the Persija club as "The Dream Team" due to changes in the behavior of its supporters, improved relations with its obligatory stakeholders, and the quality of the club's life.
