Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the effect of polution control through the activated carbon addition and the manajerial skill on efficiency of COD reduction. The study was conducted in the textile plant of PT. LQ Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulo Gadung, by using an experiment of 2 x 2 factorial design with n = 80 samples selected randomly. The result of the research show that (1) there is highly significant difference efficiency of COD reduction for pollution control through the activated carbon addition between low and high concentration, (2) for the high Managerial skill, there is no significant difference between the high and the low concentration. (3) for the low managerial skill through the activated carbon addition with the high concentration is more efficient than the low concentration, (4) there is significant interaction effect between pollution control through the activated carbon addition and the managerial skill toward efficiency of COD reduction. The pollution control through the activated carbon addition with the low concentration and the high managerial skill improve the efficiency of COD reduction in managing the the textile industrial wastewater.
