Abstract

In the production of Cover Comp Ehx Pipe, defects were still found in the product produced, there were three defects, namely: Minus Triming, Jig not entering and Hole not entering. During the 6 months from July 2021 – December 2021, total production was 43,751 pcs. For Minus Triming defects totaling 979 pcs, non-entering jig defects amounting to 612 pcs and non-entering hole defects amounting to 695 pcs. shows that Defect Minus Triming has the highest defect with a total proportion of 13.46%. To see the potential for what will happen, use Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA). Some suggestions for improving product quality are, adding stoppers or adding lower and upper dies to make it easier for operators during installation. From the results of the analysis, the results of improvements to defects minus trimming show progress in a better direction. From the previous total defects for the period July 2021 to December 2021 which reached 201 pcs, in December to January 2022 the decrease reached 88 pcs. In the 6 months after implementing the repair, the total number of defects was 24 in June 2022, so the reduction in part repair costs after repair reached 55%.
